Replacing a cracked or faded turn signal on your VW Corrado is a straightforward job with the right part and a few basic tools. This guide covers front turn signal replacement on Corrado G60 and SLC VR6 models, including fitment checks before ordering.

Fitment: Verify whether your Corrado is a G60 or SLC VR6 and match the lens/assembly style before purchase. The G60 and SLC may use different signal sets.

Fitment Check Before You Start

Confirm your model and compare the replacement assembly to the original before installation. Check connector style, lens shape, and mounting tabs. If the vehicle has been modified or has replacement bodywork, compare the existing signal to the product photos and contact the seller if anything differs.

Replacement Steps

Step 1 — Disconnect the Battery

Switch off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid shorting the lighting circuit while working.

Step 2 — Access the Signal Assembly

Open the hood and locate the rear of the front turn signal assembly. Remove any trim or fasteners that restrict access, keeping clips and screws together.

Step 3 — Remove the Existing Signal

Release the retaining screw or clips for the assembly. Carefully ease the lens out from the body opening. Do not pry against painted surfaces or force aged plastic tabs.

Step 4 — Disconnect the Bulb Socket

Rotate or release the bulb socket from the housing and unplug the electrical connector as applicable. Inspect the socket and wiring for corrosion or damaged insulation before reusing them.

Step 5 — Install the Replacement

Transfer the bulb socket if required, then connect the wiring and test the signal before securing the assembly. Seat the signal evenly in the opening, align the mounting tabs, and fasten without overtightening.

Step 6 — Test Operation

Reconnect the battery and test the turn signal and hazard lights. Confirm the signal flashes at a normal rate and that the lens is secure with no gaps.
